This wedding which happened in July this year is a true fairy tale.  And they both lived happily ever after in ‘Fairy Tale Cottage’.  This is true as well!

Once Upon A Time …

There was once a lonely Princess
Not so long ago
Dreaming of her handsome Prince
And when he’d finally show
She placed an ad on Gumtree
To find that special guy
Requesting princes to please write in
if they should like to apply.

And so it was the time came,
for the prince to begin his quest
He saw her little advert
and wrote an email full of jest
And after long exchanges,
she began to get excited
He seemed to have such wit,
she really was delighted.
So they arranged to have an outing
And this was what was strange
They said they’d meet at Blenheim
and waited for the day.

The day before they were due to meet,
a silence fell over the prince,
inside he felt her standing close,
and with one look he was convinced.
Well, the dust of magic worked its charm
For I tell you – four days later
He proclaimed throughout the land
His bride he deemed to make her

Friends and family told them,
‘That’s really rather hurried.
They said, ‘We know we love each other,
so you've no need to be worried.
‘Yes, we love each other,
and so we’ll do it our way.’
And so it is that, one year on,
they are married here today.
So I stand, and please do join me,
with hope inside my heart
To drink to bride and groom
whose story’s only at its start

Missing You on your Birthday

Another year has passed us by
Yet we will never forget
Today dearest friend is the day of your birth
A day of no regret

Your precious smile would light up a room
Your kindness so sincere
Your humor, my dear, spread waves of joy
To those who’d lend an ear!

Though you’re not here in person
Your presence here is strong
Of that we are so glad
Our bond goes on and on

Your Passion for the best team
Arsenal through and through
How you loved to watch them play
Make them win – Can you?

You toiled so hard at all kinds of work
Perfection was your game
You gained respect in all you did
Professionalism was your aim

Now you watch over your loved ones
Guiding them when they need
You shine over them like a star
For them to follow your lead

A love you have that transcends time with
S…. your wonderful wife
A connection beyond Earthly realm
